View GFSI CertificationAll certification bodies are accredited and independent, but they are not always there when you need them. And when your business depends on certifications, you want someone with a global network of auditors to ensure you stay on your audit schedule.
We believe in food safety and are committed to upholding it. We will be there for your FSSC 22000 audits.
You can be confident your audit is going to be done right.
Our network of auditors ensures we can certify a wide variety of operations.
Our schedulers work double-time to find you an audit date when you need it.
Not every certification can be completed in person.
Our program is designed to fit your needs, whatever they may be.
The FSSC 22000 fully remote option is an accredited, non-GFSI recognized, voluntary option that can be utilized only when the premises of the certified organization cannot be accessed as a result of a serious event, supported by a risk assessment. Although the fully remote audit option is not recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), it has broad support from the food industry and complies with GFSI benchmarking requirements, except for the audit delivery process.
A mutual agreement between AIB International and the certified organization is required prior to conducting the fully remote audit.
The FSSC Foundation has recently published a new annex that allows the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools to complete FSSC 22000 audits. The ICT audit approach consists of a two-step process, a remote audit that focuses on document review followed by an on-site audit to verify implementation of the FSSC 22000 scheme requirements.
The requirements set out in IAF MD4 on the use of ICT for auditing/assessment purposes are mandatory. It is important to note that this is an alternative but voluntary option.
FSSC is often a good fit for companies that want more flexibility, as it is a risk-based food safety management system. Another advantage is that with the ISO 22000 framework, FSSC 22000 allows the integration of your food safety management system with other risk- based management systems such as Quality, Environment or Health and Safety.
FSSC audits are also good for companies who want to review their written programs first to see if they are ready for full audit because they are divided into two separate audit phases: documentation and facility. Companies can make corrections between the two audit phases, without impacting their final score, which can save money in the long run.
Your food safety culture is at the top of our mind.
We will make sure your certifications are done reliably, consistently,
and when you need them.
We also perform audits to other GFSI-benchmarked schemes.
Certification is provided by AIB International Certification Services, a wholly owned subsidiary and separate company. Use of AIB International’s consulting and training services does not influence certification outcome.
