AIB Dress Code Requirements

It is very important that our pilot lab meet all prerequisite food safety and GMP guidelines because AIB is a registered food processing facility. For this reason we would like to remind you of the dress code when attending an AIB seminar.

Lecture Clothes

Casual business dress is appropriate for lecture sessions. Shorts, t-shirts, and sleeveless shirts are not permitted. Temperatures vary in the classrooms, so a light jacket or sweater is often desirable.

Lab Work

Seminars that have bakeshop sessions or hands-on labs, please bring bakery whites, if possible. We will provide hairnets and beardnets and will have aprons available, if needed. Artificial fingernails, fingernail polish, watches, and other jewelry (except for plain wedding band) must be removed before entering the baking areas. Gloves will be provided if necessary.

Nothing can be carried above the waist (such as in pockets). Open-toed shoes will not be permitted in baking labs.
