What’s new in Issue 6?

  • Different Hygiene Levels
    Issue 6 now contains only one set of requirements.
  • The Second Unannounced Audit Requirement
    This is in line with Issue 8 of the BRCGS Global Food Standard.
  • New Fundamental Clause: Corrective and Preventive Action
    Specific requirements on corrective and preventive action related to root cause analysis have been included.
  • Emphasis on Product Quality
    Issue 6 separates quality in the hazard and risk analysis building toward quality management systems focused clauses.
  • Food Safety and Quality Culture Requirement
    The new Issue asks certification candidates to establish the status of their organizational culture and put steps in place to improve it.
