Gain in-depth understanding of the Standard requirements and become a BRCGS auditor.

In this 5-day BRCGS-approved training, you will learn the requirements of the Global Standard for Food Safety protocol, and how to successfully plan, conduct and report a BRCGS audit. This course enables participants to practice, develop and improve their auditing techniques, including the competency skills required of GFSI scheme auditors.

Successful completion of this course and exam are requirements to qualify as a BRCGS auditor. This course also forms part of the BRCGS Professional Recognition Program.

After this course, you will:

  • Understand the background and benefits of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety, as well as the audit methodology, enrollment program and unannounced audit schemes.
  • Distinguish the relationship of the Standard from other GFSI and ISO food safety and quality standards.
  • Know how to close an audit and deal with corrective actions.
  • Become familiar with the report system, BRCGS directory, and how certificates are issued.

  • Previous knowledge of quality management systems and auditing within the relevant manufacturing sector
