Customized Bakery Training

Throughout its history, AIB has always been very close to the baking industry. We continue to do this by designing programs based upon the specific business needs of our clients. AIB has the expertise to help you in the following areas across any type of bakery product:

  • Providing necessary hands-on training to empower your production people. The more that they understand the overall process and the links between process variations and product quality, the more pride they take in their jobs. Return-on-investment of these types of programs is normally very high.
  • Evaluating opportunities for product and process improvement. AIB has professional staff with many years of experience to help you to develop new products, test new ingredients, and take unnecessary variations out of your process. Many clients realize cost reduction benefits from AIB customized training.
  • Providing expertise on a "just-in-time" basis. Examples would be assisting during a line start-up, helping your staff solve specific production problems, giving new supervisors training where and when they need it to fulfill their responsibilities without excessive costly errors, and calibrating or re-calibrating technical knowledge across the work team.
  • Filling in the gaps of technical and industry-specific knowledge for your leadership team. Some companies successfully use AIB as part of their leadership development program. When leaders more fully understand the function of ingredients, formulations, processes, and process controls, they can increase their effectiveness and credibility with their production and quality assurance teams.

The advantage to bringing AIB expertise to your location is that you can save travel time and expense for your staff. The advantage to bringing your staff to AIB for training is the AIB pilot plant and other resources that are unique to the facility in Manhattan, Kansas. About half of AIB's education programs are delivered away from our headquarters.
