Housing Guide

The following list is a housing guide for Manhattan. Rental costs are subject to change without notice. AIB recommends that you carefully evaluate the housing options available and make the selection that best suits your needs. Identify yourself as an AIB student as you contact each place.

KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY HOUSING - KSU allows AIB students to rent rooms in the KSU dormitories on a space available basis. The KSU housing is located within 4 blocks of AIB, which provides continuous housing, and is the one most students use. To request an application for housing visit their webpage at www.housing.k-state.edu. Their email address is housing@ksu.edu.

Please Note: During the KSU spring break and Thanksgiving break, meals at the dining facilities are not served. The dorms, except for Moore Hall, are also closed at the end of each college semester.

Costs for AIB students staying in the KSU dormitory are : $636 per month (10 meals per week), $646 per month (15 meals per week), or $660 per month (20 meals per week).

KSU Housing office will send information and applications. Call (785)532-6453 to request an application or contact them by e-mail at, housing@ksu.edu. On the application be sure to indicate that you are an AIB student when asked for major area of study. Companies can call the KSU Housing Office, ask for the "Cashier" and have an invoice sent. A contract will then be sent to the student or company. Students must sign a contract and return it to KSU Housing & Dining prior to arriving. If a contract is signed then a room will be assigned to you and when you arrive, you can move in. Otherwise, you may need to stay in a motel for a few days. When making your housing decision, please keep in mind that this is a college dormitory atmosphere with limited privacy, etc.

Swimming pool, tennis court, single and family areas. One and two bedroom apartments contain well-equipped kitchens (does include kitchen utensils) and laundry facilities are available in each building. Apartments are furnished. Costs are $1185 per month for a one-bedroom apartment and $1250 per month for a two bed room apartment. Apartments may be shared by two students (management will coordinate). Three miles from AIB or a 10-minute drive. Management will coordinate transportation among AIB students, i.e. you will need to ride with an AIB student or provide your own transportation.
