College Credit - Barton County Community College
Program Eligibility
Students who complete the Baking Science & Technology 16-week class at AIB International
are eligble to earn an Associate of Science degree from Barton County Community College.
Transfer of AIB Courses
The Baking Science & Technology 16-week class at AIB International will transfer to Barton
County Community College. Credits will be posted on the Barton transcript as a block of credit.
Course grades will not be used in the Barton GPA calculation. Up to 20 credit hours of such
course work may apply to the Associate of Science degree.
Barton County Community College Associate of Science Degree Requirements
- Completion of the Baking Science & Technology 16-week class at AIB International
- Minimum Credit Hours: At least 36 credit hours of general education courses shall be required
for graduation.
Course and Distribution Requirements: General education credits must meet the course and
distribution requirements of the Associate of Science degree as outlined in Barton's catalog. The
general education curriculum areas are:
- Written Communications - 6 credit hours
- Oral Communications - 3 credit hours
- College-level Mathematics - 3 credit hours
- Humanities - 6 credit hours
- Social and Behavioral Sciences - 6 credit hours
- Natural Sciences/Mathematics - 10 credit hours
- Physical Education/Health/Performance - 2 credit hours
- In addition to the general education requirements, you must complete the remaining credit
hour requirement as designated in your particular area of study.
