- HACCP Accreditation can become an integral part of a comprehensive AIB Integrated Quality
System that also includes prerequisites, certified performance in the Good Manufacturing
Practices, and a Quality Management System.
Four Steps to an AIB/GFTC HACCP Accreditation
- You must achieve a minimum score of 800 (at least 160 in each of five categories) on an audit based on
the AIB International Consolidated Standards for Food Safety.
- AIB will review your HACCP manual and suggest recommendations for improvements in Hazard Analysis,
CCP selection and establishing Critical Limits.
- AIB will conduct an on-site audit of your plant based on the seven basic HACCP principles and the required prerequisite programs which include, but are not limited to: standard sanitation operating procedures; a GMP program; integrated pest management program, chemical control program; customer complaint program; recall and traceability programs, and allergen control program. This audit covers implementation of your Plan, employee training, data collection, record-keeping, and the scientific information used to validate the HACCP Plan.
- You will receive a Certificate of HACCP Accreditation following a successful on-site audit. The certificate
is valid for three years if follow-up audits verify that prerequisite programs, HACCP Plan records, and AIB
minimum inspection requirements have been maintained.
